AKES, P Central Office invites applications from eligible and interested candidates to fill the following position.
Facilities Management Lead, Central Office, Islamabad
The Facilities Management Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and systems at AKES Pakistan’s 155+ properties across Gilgit, Chitral, and Sindh, including schools, hostels, offices, and faculty housing. The candidate will manage AKES’ P’s property portfolio, focusing on budgeting, team management, vendor relations, sustainability practices, and energy management. The role requires managing multiple projects, traveling to remote locations, and adapting to flexible working hours.
The responsibilities include developing strategies and SOPs for property maintenance and collaborating with the AKES’ P SMT, Operation Managers, and Regional Heads. The role involves conducting contract negotiations for maintenance services, ensuring all necessary permits are in place, attending inspections, and overseeing annual audits. Additionally, the candidate will work with the Safety & Security Manager to develop emergency plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for emergency situations.
The Facilities Management Lead is responsible for deploying regular preventative maintenance inspections, managing major repairs and maintenance capital projects, and overseeing emergency fixes such as roofs, HVAC, fire alarms, and CCTV systems. Implementing sustainability initiatives focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally friendly practices is also a key responsibility.
The candidate will lead a team of supervisors, regional managers, and core maintenance staff and approve estimates for repairs, annual maintenance contracts, and purchase orders. They will direct both 3rd Party and In-house Preventative Maintenance Plans and work closely with the Purchasing and Operations teams to manage vendor contracts.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. A Master’s degree in Facility Management or Business Administration would be a plus. Additionally, the candidate should have at least 7 years of experience managing a multi-site property portfolio, with significant experience in a senior management role in a relevant field.
