Higher Education Commission has established 09 Seerat Chairs to conduct scholarly research on the following themes. The proposed Chair will focus on prevalent and modern challenges faced by Pakistani society and provide appropriate guidance in the light of research on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

PhD degree from HEC recognised university/institution in the field of Human Rights, Law, International Humanitarian Law, Social Welfare, Social Work, and Social Justice. - BUSINESS, COMMERCE AND PROPERTY RIGHTS
PhD degree from HEC recognised university/institution in the field of Commerce, Management Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, and Intellectual Property Rights. - EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE

PhD degree from HEC recognised university/institution in the field of Peace & Conflict Studies, International Relations, Conflict Resolution, Political Science, Counter Terrorism & Deradicalization, Strategic Studies, and Global Studies. - INTERFAITH AND COMMUNAL HARMONY
PhD degree from HEC recognised university/institution in the field of Social Work, Religious Studies, Conflict Resolution, Public Advocacy, Public Administration, and Community Development. - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
PhD degree from HEC recognised university/institution in the field of Environmental Sciences, Sustainability Management, Strategic Planning & Policy, and Economic Development.
- HEC seeks applications from Pakistani and Foreign Islamic Scholars of international repute and recognised scholarly eminence to occupy these distinguished Chairs.
- HEC will offer an attractive salary package, negotiable depending on scholarly experience. The appointment will initially be for a two years renewable term.
