POSITIONS
Junior Engineer /SDOS
Minimum: 21 years & Maximum 28 years +5 years general age relaxation as per Govt. of Pakistan Policy on closing date.
Qualification Required
BE (Electrical/Electronic)/B.Sc. (Electrical/Electronic) / BS (Electrical/Electronic) Engineering Degree in 1st Division with at least 60% marks from any HEC recognized University & Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)
Note:- Computer literacy and proficiency in use of MS-Office is mandatory.
Revenue Officer (RO)
Minimum: 21 years & Maximum 28 years +5 years general age relaxation as per Govt. of Pakistan Policy on closing date.
Qualification Required
MBA/M.Com/M.Sc. Computer Sciences, M.Sc./MA(Statistics / Mathematics/ Economics) with minimum two 1st Divisions in the academic career.
Note:- The candidate must have capable of operating computer with special emphasis on windows and MS office.
LS-I
Minimum: 18 years & Maximum 25 years +5 years general age relaxation as per Govt. of Pakistan Policy on closing date.
Qualification Required
- Matric with three years Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical/Electronics with 1st Division from any Polytechnic Institute recognized by concerned Technical Education Board or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field.
- 01 Year experience of the trade in a supervisory post in any Electric Supply Undertaking or Electrical/Electronics concern of repute engaged in the construction of transmission and distribution works.
Note: Condition of 01-year experience relax able in case of candidate possessing higher qualification i.e. B.Sc. degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering from a recognized University & Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
LS-II
Minimum: 18 years & Maximum 25 years +5 years general age relaxation as per Govt. of Pakistan Policy on closing date.
Qualification Required
Matric with three years Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical Electronics with 1st Division from any Polytechnic Institute recognized by concerned Technical Education Board or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field.

INSTRUCTIONS & GENERAL CONDITIONS
1) MEPCO Region includes Districts of Multan, Lodhran, Vehari, Khanewal, D.G.Khan, Rajanpur, Muzafargarh, Layyah, Bahwalpur, R.Y.Khan, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal & Pakpattan.
2) General age relaxation has already been included in the age limit mentioned in above. No further age relaxation is allowed in the prescribed age limit except candidates belonging to scheduled castes, Buddhists, FATA/GB and AJK are allowed 3 years’ and age will be counted from the closing date fixed for receipt of applications.
3) Candidates applying against Disable Quota for posts at Sr. No.3 & 4, shall be allowed 10 years’ age relaxation. 4) Government Servants and contract employees, who have completed 02 years continuous Government service on the closing date for receipt of application, shall be allowed 10 years’ age relaxation.
5) All quotas (where applicable) will be observed as per policy in vogue.
6) Candidates from all over the Pakistan can apply for posts at Sr. No. 1&2.
7) Candidates having domiciles of MEPCO Region only can apply for the posts at Sr.3&4.
8) Children of only MEPCO employees are eligible to apply against 20% employee’s children quota.
9) Candidates applying against Employees’ Children Quota must ensure to attach all relevant documents mentioned in the application form alongwith Employee’s Children Proforma duly signed by concerned XEN/S.E, CNIC of father / mother. They must also provide an affidavit that their brother / sister or widow’s mother is not already employed in WAPDA/MEPCO/DISCOS/GENCOS/NTDC against employee’s children quota. Applications of Employee’s Children, whose Proforma not signed by concerned XEN/S.E (Head of Office) or incomplete in any respect, will not be entertained.
10) Candidates applying against minority quota must provide the Minority Certificate.
11) Candidates applying against Disabled Quota must provide Disability Certificate with the recommendations “FIT FOR SERVICE” issued from District Social Welfare Officer. However, fitness for service will be assessed by the Senior Medical Officer/Medical Officer of WAPDA Hospital Multan and decision of Medical Superintendent, WAPDA Hospital Multan will not be challenged.
12) Candidates who don’t have PEC Registration for the post of JR. Engineer/SDO on closing date are not eligible to apply.
13) Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in Written Test and shortlisted candidates falling within merit as per Policy of the Company, will be called for Interview.
14) Candidates will be recruited/appointed on lump sum pay package initially for a period of one (01) year extendable on satisfactory performance and their services will not be regularized in future at any stage.
15) Recruitment will be carried out through testing services of The Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) for the sake of transparency and fair play.
16) Serving candidates who are in Government Service, are advised to provide departmental No Objection Certificate (NOC) clearly mentioning the date of appointment and nature of employment i.e. Regular, Contract etc. at the time of interview.
17) Candidates, if selected, will be required to perform duties within the jurisdiction of MEPCO
18) No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates for Test or Interview.
19) Candidates awaiting their result are not eligible to apply.
20) Incomplete applications or applications containing incorrect information or received on job portal after due date shall not be entertained.
21) Original documents along with one set of attested photocopies/photograph must be presented by the candidate at the time of interview and joining of service.
22) Candidates may contact IUB Testing Services for any query/enquiry regarding written test, Roll No. slips, test centers, results etc.
23) Concealment or misrepresentation of record/testimonials / any other facts at any stage will lead to disqualification of a candidate from the current recruitment and from all types of tests/exams to be conducted by the MEPCO for recruitments in future.
24) The applications must be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
25) MEPCO reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts as per work requirement or to cancel the whole recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
26) Mobile phone & calculator will not be allowed in test center premises.
27) A person/candidate dismissed from service from any organization or having criminal record is not eligible for employment in MEPCO. The candidate is required to submit a declaration on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- to above extent at the time of interview.
HOW TO APPLY
1) Applicants must apply online directly on the IUB portal (https://mepco.iub.edu.pk) and upload the scanned copies of academic certificates / degrees, CNIC, Domicile, PEC registration certificate and paid challan fees etc. on the portal before closing date of application. In case of non-applying on the IUB portal, application will not be entertained in any case.
2) Applicants will further submit hard copies of attested documents, testimonials, certificates etc. as mentioned above through post/courier in the office of the Assistant Registrar, HR-E, Room Number 103, First Floor, Abbasia Campus, The Islamia University Bahawalpur.
3) “By hand applications” will neither be received at MEPCO HIQ nor at The Islamia University Bahawalpur (UB).
4) Test fee of Rs.1000/- for officers (Sr. No.1 & 2) and Rs. 750/- for officials (Sr. No.3 & 4) shall be paid in favor of the IUB through Online Banking or Mobile App, or through any Agent. The candidate will make payment through unique computerized challan to pay test fee available on portal https://mepco.iub.edu.pk . Direct account transfer will not be entertained.
5) Roll Number Slip shall be uploaded on its website at least one week before the test date.
6) Roll No. Slip containing the information regarding test center, date and timings shall be available on IUB website for printing by the candidates and candidates shall be informed by IUB through SMS on their given mobile phone numbers.
