The Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) is a regulatory body established under the 1983 Ordinance for the regulation of Architecture and Town Planning professions in the country. It is responsible for ensuring quality education, professional licensing, and the maintenance of high professional standards in both fields.

1. | Registrar (1 position at Islamabad) | • Master’s degree in: Architecture with five years of Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Town Planning with four years of Bachelor’s Degree in City! Urban & Regional Planning recognized and verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience at a managerial position in a Government, Semi Government or Private sector. Applicants with higher qualification and foreign local training in recognized courses of management will be given. preference. • Experience in Legal processes and procedures will be an added advantage. • Maximum 55 years of age on the closing date of application • Duty station: Islamabad | • Ensure that entities under the authority’s jurisdiction comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. • Manage the registration and licensing of individuals, businesses, or institutions governed by the authority. • Issue, renew, suspend, or revoke licenses and registrations in accordance with the law. • Oversee, secure and accurate maintenance of all records related to registrations, licenses, and enforcement actions. • Ensure transparency and data integrity in registry operations. • Assist in the development and implementation of regulatory policies and procedures. • Ensure that internal operations align with the authority’s broader strategic and legal framework. • Serve as a liaison between the regulatory authority and stakeholders, including regulated entities, the public, and government bodies. • Coordinate and document enforcement actions against individuals or organizations that breach regulations. • Prepare reports for internal use and for submission to govemment or oversight bodies. • Document all decisions and processes to ensure accountability and audit readiness. • Manage budgets, procurements, and other resources relevant to the registrar’s functions. |
2. | Assistant Registrar (4 positions; 1 each for provincial headquarters) | • Should have Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Town Planning or Master’s in Public Administration / Social Sciences from HEC recognized university. • Must have 5 years’ work experience in an office environment. • Must be familiar with working in an office environment. • Should be proficient in MS office. • Should be a team player. • Should have excellent inter personnel communication skills. • Must have excellent writing skills in English and Urdu language. • Well conversed with local language. • Duty station: Lahore =1, Karachi =1, Peshawar =1 and Quetta | • Report to Registrar. • Facilitate in functioning office procedures in an efficient manner. • Help in writing office correspondence • Responsible to maintain documentation and office data base. • Attend and respond to the visitors, if and when required. • Performs any other work assigned related to the office of PCATP. |
3. | “Graphic Designer” “Desk Top Publishing and Graphics” (1 position at Islamabad) | • Should have Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics/ Communication Design/ Media from HEC recognized university. • Minimum 5 years of experience in social media handling and graphic design. • Must have good skills in desk top publishing as added qualification. • Proficient in Canva. Adobe Photoshop/ illustrator, Coral Draw, Meta Business Suite. • Strong creative content writing skills in English and Urdu. • Familiarity with architecture or Town Planning sectors is a plus. • Submission of a design portfolio at time of interview. • Maximum 40 years of age on the closing date of application. • Duty Station: Islamabad | • Report to Registrar. • Developing & Designing of HR, Admin and procurement advertisement for newspaper. • Content Writing: Create and edit engaging written content for blogs, websites, social media, and marketing campaigns. Ensure consistency in tone, grammar, and SEO optimization. • Social Media Management: Develop and execute social media strategies. Manage content calendars, post regularly, engage with followers, and track performance metrics across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. • Graphic Design: Design eye-catching visuals for social media, marketing materials, and other digital/print assets using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva. • Performs any other work assigned related to the office of PCATP. |
